Tanny Iqbal - 1961-2002
No description of the Rainbow would be complete without recognition of the contribution made by the Late Great Tanvir 'Tanny' Iqbal in creating the UK's premier foosball scene. Tanny's effort, enthusiasm and dedication made the Rainbow a beacon of excellence, and set the highest standards for others to follow.
Many tributes have been paid to Tanny following his untimely death in September 2002, and these can be viewed here.
Tanny's tournament record speaks for itself, holding down the No1 UK Pro-Master rank from 1999 to 2002. notable performances are given below.
