The British Foosball Association (BFA) is the only national players' association in the UK. The BFA is a member of the ITSF (International Table Soccer Federation).

The Oxford University Table Football Club has one of the most active table football scenes in the UK, with a weekly league during term time comprising c.35 colleges and one pub.

The Oxford University team is a force to be reckoned with on Garlando tables and has numerous current and old boys ranked very highly.

The Cambridge University Table Football Society (CUTFS) was set up in September 2002, to organise regular competitive table football within the university and town, including inter-college leagues and cup, as well as open doubles/singles, and university matches.

The University of Warwick Table Football Society was set up in 2004 and coincided with the arrival of Adam Baker, formerly of St Catherine's College, Oxford. This pushed the development the game in a city with a long (20 year plus) football heritage.
