This will be a BFA ranking tournament run on 6-7 Garlando World-Championship-spec freeplay tables.

Events: Swiss Open Doubles (ranking), Seeded (D)YP (non-ranking).

    Timetable and Event Format

    The main event is to be run in Swiss format over a minimum of 7 rounds (meaning everyone gets at least 7 games!), with the top 8 teams going into an open knockout, the top 6 Semi-Pro or under teams into a Semi-Pro knockout and the top 6 Amateur or below teams into an Amateur/Novice knockout. All teams play for the chance of getting to the knockout stages for their respective ranking. All knockouts will be played in Single Elimination format.

    The secondary event is a Seeded DYP, where players are paired with their opposite seed as determined by the swiss round earlier.

    Prize Fund

    The prize fund is 100% of entry fees (estimated at £750) split according to entrant composition (details below) subject to the following breakdown:

    Open Doubles entry fees and prize fund breakdown

    Players enter a single event with their entry fees split between all the prize pots they are eligible for.

    e.g. a Semi-Pro player pays £15 to enter, and contributes to the knockout rounds they are eligible to play i.e. Semi-Pro and Open round.

    The entry fees for the Seeded (D)YP will be £3 per player, or as otherwise determined on the day.

    The Organisers reserve the right to alter the program to ensure the smooth running of the tournament. The prize fund may vary according to turnout. The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry. All prize money must be collected on the day.

    This event is being organised by the Paul Addison, Roger Healy and Bill Omerond, with tables by the BFA.

    Please note that as this is a prestige event, entry to the singles events (OS, FSO, GW) will be limited to 64 players. If more players than this pre-register, the highest ranked players will be given priority. No players will be accepted into singles events after the pre-registration deadline if there are no spaces.
